Next week, the World Health Organization ( WHO) plans to hold a meeting on the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 “Sputnik V”. This was announced at a briefing by the Assistant Director General of the organization, Marianjela Simao, reports TASS.
“We are in dialogue with the applicant and the Russian government. We still need to get a complete dossier on Sputnik V, ”Simao said. She noted that WHO “has questions on inspection at the N.F. Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, on production inspection.”
»Would be a positive step on the part of WHO, as it could facilitate the adoption of the drug worldwide. In particular, the diplomatic mission commented on the possible inclusion of the vaccine in the register of funds for use in emergency situations.
