Russia is likely to cope with the coronavirus pandemic next year the virus itself is not going anywhere. Doctor of medical sciences, virologist Anatoly Altstein told RIA Novosti about such terms of getting rid of the pandemic.
“The pandemic will not live with us forever, but I am rather optimistic about this, I think that next year it will a significant part of humanity and the pandemic will die out, but the virus, of course, will not go anywhere, and outbreaks will still remain, and it will be for a long time, and we will have to get vaccinated, ”Altstein said.
On November 10, an immunologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences Vladislav Zhemchugov revealed the timing of Russia's reaching a plateau in the incidence of coronavirus. In his opinion, within a week the peak of the incidence of COVID-19 should turn into a plateau, and in another two to three weeks the level should decrease.
