However, the city authorities are not opposed to giving the territory of the Expocentre for offices. Vice-Mayor of Moscow Andrei Bochkarev in early November in an interview with RBC noted that negotiations are underway on the construction of business centers. Nevertheless, not all experts consider this a good decision due to the proximity to the Moscow City business quarter – residential buildings will become more in demand in this area.
The change of the Expocentre location has been discussed in the Moscow City Hall since 2013 of the year. The exhibition premises are planned to be moved to the Vnukovo airport area in New Moscow and to increase their area to 300 thousand square meters.
