The deputy added that work in a difficult climate hardens a person, and also expands his capabilities. It is necessary to think not about how to reduce labor activity, but about how to raise people's wages, Kharitonov noted.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Anton Kotyakov, said that the department did not see the prerequisites for introducing four-day working week, but ready to consider proposals. At the same time, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has not yet received an initiative that would be “formed, substantiated,” he added.
