The Russian national team thanked Oksimiron for not releasing an album on match day 
Representatives of the Russian national football team left a message on Twitter for rap artist Oksimiron (real name – Miron Fedorov) after winning the 2022 World Cup qualifying match over the Cyprus team.
“The magic of numbers. Russia scores six goals, Oksimiron releases a release for the first time in six years, ”the team's press service wrote. The national team also thanked the performer for not releasing the album on the day of the Russians' performance.
On November 11, the Russian national team won a crushing victory over Cyprus. Russian footballers sent six unanswered goals to the opponent's goal.
On November 6, the Russian national team asked Oksimiron not to release a new album during the qualifying matches for the World Cup – November 11 and 14. It was released on November 12.
Valery Karpin's team is leading in Group H before the final round of the qualifying tournament. On November 14, the Russians will have an away match with the Croats, who are in second place in the group table, two points behind. A victory or a draw will allow the Russian team to qualify directly for the 2022 World Cup.
