SBU released the testimony of the “chief executioner” of the DPR prison

The SBU published a video with the “chief executioner” of the Donetsk prison “Izolyatsiya” Kulikovsky

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) partially published the testimony of Denis Kulikovsky , who in Ukraine is called “the main executioner” of the secret prison “Isolation”, located in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The video was posted on the special service website.

In the video, a person whose face is not visible says that until December 2014 he was a security inspector at Izolyatsia, and then became the head of the prison. He described his duties as “extracting truthful testimonies” from the detainees.

“In the future, during each interrogation, officers of the FSB, the Ministry of State Security [DPR] were always present, as well as me and the doctor always, so that if a person becomes ill, that he it was pumped out, ”the accused said.

According to him, the detainees who did not cooperate were tortured. Kulikovsky claims that he was in charge of the prison until July 2015, but continued to “beat out testimony” until January 2018. He ceased to be the head of Izolyatsiya when a security guard with whom he had a conflict on vacation died due to his fault.

Ukrainian media have repeatedly written that a secret facility “Izolyatsiya” operates in Donetsk, on the territory of which torture the detainees. On November 9, journalist Stanislav Aseev, who was convicted in the DPR on espionage charges and then extradited to Kiev, announced the detention of Kulikovsky.

On November 9, the SBU announced that the former head of Izolyatsia had been detained. He is charged under four articles: “Trafficking in human beings”, “Creation of a terrorist organization”, “Creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law”, “Violation of the laws and customs of war.”

Kulikovsky told reporters in court that the last two years he lived in Kiev, and his wife is in a pre-trial detention center in Donetsk.
