Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili continues his hunger strike and is in a very bad condition. This was stated by his girlfriend, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yelizaveta Yasko, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.
She said that she had seen a politician in the prison hospital and denied that he had stopped his hunger strike. According to her, Saakashvili will stop refusing food only if he is transferred to a private clinic with “normal medical equipment”, where doctors can take care of his health.

Yasko also noted that the ex-president is in conditions of “psychological terror”, since the prisoners in the hospital periodically shout insults at him.
Earlier, Saakashvili's lawyer Nika Gvaramia said that his client decided to end the hunger strike, as it became the “weapon of the Russians and the current government” against him.

At the same time, his lawyers said that he was in danger, since there are dozens of prisoners in the Gldani prison, including those with mental disorders.
