QR codes will be partially canceled in the Russian region

In the Ivanovo region, QR codes will be canceled on weekdays until 18:00 for visitors of the shopping center

restrictive measures in the operation of shopping centers (malls) aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection. The relevant information was published on Friday, November 12, on the website of the authorities of the Russian region.

From November 15 on weekdays until 18:00, visitors will not need a QR code to enter the shopping center confirming the fact of vaccination against COVID-19 or a previous illness. Instead, according to the old requirements, it was possible to present a negative PCR test or an antigen test – these requirements will also be canceled.

Shopping tours from other regions will also resume, subject to safety standards, and children's play areas will open on November 22 on the territory of shopping centers. It is specified that the corresponding changes will soon be made to the decree of the local governor Stanislav Voskresensky “On the introduction of a high alert regime in the Ivanovo region.”

Earlier on November 12, it became known that the first Russian region – the Chuvash Republic – issue QR codes to people who have a large number of antibodies to coronavirus. These codes will be valid only on the territory of Chuvashia.
