New rules for entering India explained to tourists

To enter India, tourists must upload a PCR test to the New Delhi Airport website

New rules for entering India have become known – since On November 11, the country's authorities updated the tourist protocol for foreign tourists. This information appeared on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Republic.

The specialists explained that all travelers planning a trip to India must fill out a form on the portal www.newdelhiairport.in to inform the health authorities about their arrival.

Also, vacationers need to upload a negative PCR test for COVID-19 to the official website of New Delhi Airport, made no earlier than 72 hours before arrival. It is specified that children under five years of age are exempt from such a procedure. At the same time, the department noted that the provision of incorrect information “is subject to criminal prosecution.”

In addition, before boarding an aircraft in the country of departure and after arrival, each passenger must undergo a thermometry procedure. If a traveler is diagnosed with symptoms of coronavirus infection, he will be sent for isolation to a medical institution of the republic.

Since November 9, India has included Russia in the list of countries of category “A” with which the state has an agreement on the mutual recognition of vaccines – this means that domestic tourists vaccinated with Sputnik V are exempted from mandatory quarantine upon arrival.
