Models of American F-35s were built in China

Models of American aircraft were built at the PLA missile forces range China. This was reported by the South China Morning Post with reference to the Kanwa International Journal.

Four mock-ups of aircraft were spotted on satellite images of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) missile training ground in Xinjiang. The magazine's editor-in-chief, Andrei Chang, suggested that the models could be used as targets for the Chinese DF-16 and DF-21C medium-range ballistic missiles.

Chang stressed that the deployment of DF-21C missiles with a range action of about 2000 kilometers allows you to cover the territory of Japan. In his opinion, Chinese exercises using F-35 mock-ups could be a response to an increase in the number of American F-35Bs at the Iwakuni airbase and the Japanese F-35A at the Misawa airbase.

Earlier, the fifth generation F-35 Lightning fighters II worked out actions in the face of a potential war with China or Russia, according to the publication 19FortyFive. The planes simulated aerial combat and the destruction of enemy air defense systems during exercises in Israel.

In April, veteran of the United States Marine Corps (ILC) Alex Hollings described a potential conflict between the United States and China. In his opinion, now the United States cannot resist the PLA in the South China Sea. DF-17 hypersonic missiles will not allow the use of US carrier-based aircraft. Hollings noted that the promising B-21 Raider bomber could deprive China of the advantage.
