Deputy Prime Minister Golikova: a number of measures on COVID-19 may not need to be introduced
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that The situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in Russia and how the current year will end and the next one will begin depends solely on its residents. At a briefing on measures to combat COVID-19, broadcast by RBC, Golikova also noted that a number of restrictions may not be introduced.
“If all security measures are taken by us as citizens of the Russian Federation, implemented, it is quite possible that a number of measures will not have to be introduced. It entirely depends on you and me, “the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Golikova reminded the Russians that the government and citizens of Russia are partners in the fight against coronavirus. She stressed that nothing is imposed on citizens. “Together we must equally worry about loved ones, friends and the country as a whole,” she concluded.
On November 12, the government proposed to make it mandatory throughout Russia to present QR codes by passengers of trains and airplanes, as well as when visiting public places. In accordance with this, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted two bills to the State Duma.
The first document involves the mandatory presentation of a QR code by visitors to public places, the list of which will be determined by the heads of regions. The bill does not regulate the work of public transport, pharmacies, shops with essential goods. According to the second document, after February 1, QR codes with a negative PCR test will be issued only to Russians with a medical withdrawal from vaccination.
