RIAC head: statements about Russia's preparations for an invasion of Ukraine may be a signal to Kiev with a certain frequency, like a seasonal exacerbation, but in recent reports a number of inconsistencies can be traced. They were pointed out in an interview with Lenta.ru by the Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) Andrei Kortunov.
The head of the RIAC noted that it looks strange that Ukraine itself does not in any way confirm such information, and statements about a certain military threat come from Washington. In addition, it is not clear why the US turned specifically to the EU, and not to NATO, which, as a defensive alliance, really has the opportunity to somehow react to Russia's actions.
