The Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the State Duma initiatives on QR codes in transport and in public places
codes for passengers on trains and airplanes, as well as when visiting public places. This is reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The first document involves the mandatory presentation of a QR code by visitors to public places. It is assumed that their list will be determined by the heads of the regions. The bill does not regulate the work of public transport, pharmacies, grocery stores and retail outlets with essential goods. Also, according to the initiative, after February 1, QR codes with a negative PCR test will be issued only to Russians with a medical withdrawal from vaccination.
The second bill proposes to amend the Air Code and the Charter of Railway Transport. They relate to the mandatory presentation of QR codes by passengers of airplanes and trains when purchasing a ticket. There is no start date for ticket sales under the new rules. It is assumed that it will be called later.
The fact that Russia is preparing initiatives on QR codes in transport and in public places was previously told by a source of RBC, who participated in the preparation of the documents, and also an interlocutor of the publication in the government. Later, the fact of work on the bills was confirmed in the operational headquarters to combat the spread of infection.
