He believes that the most important thing for the car market is the substitution of imports and the transition to Russian components. “This is not just a matter of government policy, but a matter of survival and further development of their own business,” Shpak emphasized. The problem of the shortage of auto electronics will only worsen in the near future, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Earlier it was reported that AvtoVAZ completely stopped production for one day due to the lack of electronic components. Later, a company representative clarified that the suspension of car assembly lines at AvtoVAZ due to the global crisis in the supply of electronic components occurs from time to time, but there is no talk of a complete cessation of production on November 12.
Meanwhile, Belarusian dealerships refuse sell new cars to Russians. They refer to agreements with Russian colleagues, which allow only buyers with Belarusian passports to process documents for new cars.
