The head of the Orekhovskaya gang Butorin will be tried for an attack on a policeman years ago – on his instructions, a member of the gang Marat Polyansky made an attempt on the life of an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported to “Lente.ru” on Wednesday, November 10, in the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office.
According to the prosecutor's office, Butorin faked his death in 1995, fled to Spain, from where he led the Orekhovskaya group. In 1998, he learned that the organized crime department was actively interested in the affairs of the gang. Then the head of the organized criminal group ordered the elimination of the police officer, who was the deputy head of this department, and provided Polyansky with all the necessary information about the victim.
Polyansky, along with an accomplice, watched the policeman and shot him in the head with a 5.6 mm rifle. But the Interior Ministry officer survived.
A law enforcement source told Lente.ru that the assassination attempt was made on police captain Nikolai Petrov, deputy head of the regional department for organized crime at the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Central District of Moscow.
< p> At the moment, the indictment has been confirmed, the criminal case will soon be sent to the Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow for consideration.
