Kommersant: Scammers get access to VKontakte accounts using PornHub clones 
early November. As Kommersant reports with reference to Infosecurity a Softline company, scammers use them to gain access to personal data and accounts of their victims.
The company explained that in order to access PornHub materials, users from Russia you must go through mandatory authorization through the social network “VKontakte” to confirm your age. The attackers decided to take advantage of this and began to create dangerous clone sites: the authorization page on them is similar to the one that users see on the real PornHub.
The danger of clones of a popular porn site flooding the Internet is that after users enter the data for entering the VKontakte page on a phishing page, their logins and passwords are in the hands of scammers.
It is noted that cybercriminals lure users to phishing sites by sending links to them in private messages. At the same time, experts drew attention to the fact that recently the number of such resources has grown significantly: since the beginning of November, experts have discovered more than 60 PornHub clones, while in September and October there were only a few of them.
At the same time, during VKontakte said that there was no increase in fraud on the platform. The company recalled that for reliable account protection, it is necessary to use two-factor protection and not enter a username and password on third-party sites.
Earlier, ESET specialist Jake Moore said that cyber fraudsters are still actively using phishing as a trick. As a rule, a user of a popular social network is lured to a dangerous site, reporting an alleged account hack.
