Russian bombers patrolled the air over Belarus. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, TASS reports.
The department said that two Russian long-range Tu-22M3 bombers performed maneuvers in the sky, during which they worked out interaction with ground control points of the Armed Forces of Russia and Belarus.
The Ministry of Defense noted that during combat duty, the crews also checked the anti-missile defense (air defense) system of the Union State.
Earlier, the Minister of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, said that Warsaw had increased the number of military on the border with Belarus up to 15 thousand people.
Prior to this, the Polish authorities also announced the buildup of the Belarusian military contingent in the area of ​​concentration of illegal migrants at the border.
