New version of Windows introduced

Microsoft unveils Windows 11 SE

Microsoft has unveiled a special edition of Windows 11 for schools and educational institutions. This is reported by The Verge with reference to the company's materials.

According to the description, the new OS will be available only on new low-cost devices and only for educational institutions. 11 SE has been optimized to work with the Microsoft Edge browser, Office programs, and Microsoft cloud services. Also, OS users will be able to choose third-party programs, such as Zoom or Chrome. “We want to give schools the opportunity to use what works best for them,” said company spokesman Paige Johnson.

According to journalists, most of the differences between the new operating system and Windows 11 are invisible. Specifically, 11 SE ships without the Microsoft Store so that school administrators can control the number of installed programs and widgets.

OS will ship with Acer, Asus, Dell, Dynabook, Fujitsu, HP, JK- IP, Lenovo and Positivo. Microsoft also introduced the budget Surface Laptop SE, which has an 11.6-inch screen, an Intel Celeron processor, four gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of internal memory. The device is priced at $ 249.

Windows 11 SE was revealed in June. Insiders called the new product a simplified version of Windows 11, which significantly limits user experience.
