Alexander Lukashenko: The West destroyed the specific statehood in the Middle East … President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the statement of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, in which she recalled the role of Warsaw in hostilities in Iraq and offered Poland to accept 2,000 refugees from there.
The Belarusian president agreed with this position and accused Western countries of destroying “specific” statehood in the Near and Middle East. At the same time, he mentioned that he was in “close” and “good” relations with local leaders, including ex-Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
“We met with them. I'll tell you – the greatest thinkers. These are people who, by virtue of their position, understood very well what was happening. These were the leaders in their states. And these scoundrels simply killed them, “the head of the republic added.
Earlier it became known that in the same interview Lukashenka shared information about the arrangement of a mafia scheme for transferring illegal migrants through Belarus to the territory of the European Union (EU). According to him, not a single Belarusian is participating in it, but two Russians are involved, as well as dozens of Germans, Poles, Ukrainians and Lithuanians.
