Fedor Emelianenko is ready for an exhibition duel with former world champion Roy Jones
Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Fedor Emelianenko admitted for a duel by the rules of boxing against the former world champion Roy Jones Jr. This is reported by TASS.
The 45-year-old heavyweight believes that the fight should be indicative. “We will not fully invest in strikes,” Emelianenko noted.
He made a reservation that he has a non-exclusive contract with Bellator, which allows him to participate in events of other organizations. The only condition is that such tournaments should be held only in Russia.
In his last fight, Emelianenko defeated American Timothy Johnson. The heavyweight took the lead in the first Bellator tournament in Russia on October 23.
52-year-old Jones completed active performances in 2018. In November 2020, he held an exhibition duel with another former world champion Mike Tyson.
