Britain predicted the transformation of Afghanistan into a tourist destination

British Chief of Staff Carter: Afghanistan could become a destination for tourism in the future

Modern leadership of the radical Taliban terrorist organization in Russia) , which seized power in Afghanistan, differs significantly from its brutal predecessors. This opinion was expressed by the head of the British General Staff Nick Carter, reports The Independent.

The General stressed that among the Taliban there are many supporters of more modern methods of government. In his opinion, if the moderate forces of the movement gain control over the power structures, Afghanistan has every chance of becoming a more inclusive republic.

Carter said that it is too early to talk about the defeat of the West on Afghan territory. “If we look back at the last 20 years and then look 20 years ahead, Afghanistan could be a very different country,” he concluded. The general predicted that in the future, Afghanistan could become a destination for tourism, as happened with Vietnam. At the same time, the head of the British General Staff noted that he prefers to rest in American Las Vegas.

Earlier it became known that hundreds of Afghan citizens pretended to be journalists in order to leave the republic after the seizure of power by the Taliban militants. Thus, during the evacuation of Western forces from the republic, a number of organizations not connected with the media added their employees, as well as their relatives and friends, to the lists under the guise of journalists. Some media have been sold journalistic accreditations on the black market.
