An employee of Sheremetyevo Airport accidentally pierced the plane with a stepladder
An employee of Sheremetyevo International Airport inadvertently pierced the liner of a Russian airline with a stepladder. This is reported by REN TV.
It is clarified that the incident occurred on the evening of Monday, November 8, during the ground handling of an aircraft preparing for a flight on the Moscow – Los Angeles route.
How clarified in the group about aviation in “VKontakte”, the airport worker committed a number of violations that led to the formation of a hole on the front of the fuselage measuring 14 millimeters. So, the service agent did not take into account the dimensions of the step-ladder, did not control its position relative to the aircraft, and violated the requirement to prohibit the movement of the step-ladder under the fuselage. As a result, the left corner of the upper platform handrail accidentally collided with the airliner.
As a result of the accident, the plane was suspended from further flights, and the flight was delayed for an hour and a half due to the replacement of the aircraft. An internal internal investigation was initiated into the incident.
Earlier in November, at the capital's Sheremetyevo airport, the transport police detained a passenger who made a riot on board an aircraft flying from Stockholm to Moscow. The detainee was a resident of Belgorod. It is noted that the passenger was intoxicated.
