A college to train tourism workers to open in Dagestan

A college for training personnel in the field of tourism will be opened in Dagestan in 2022 … This is reported by TASS with reference to the acting head of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic, Emin Merdanov.

“We came up with an initiative, received the support of the head of the republic and are now working to create a specialized college under the ministry. It will provide training in specialties related to all major areas of tourism, as well as folk arts and crafts, students will receive specialized secondary education, “- said Merdanov.

It is specified that some universities in Dagestan already have related with tourism destinations. There is also a branch of the Russian State University of Tourism and Service in the region. Despite this, the need for professionals in this industry is growing.

A law regulating the work of guides will soon come into force. According to Merdanov, after its introduction, the guides will be required to provide information about the availability of appropriate education.
