According to the minister, over the past day, 833 people have died among patients diagnosed with COVID-19. Lyashko added that to date, the country has also allocated the largest number of beds for patients with coronavirus during the entire epidemic – 76,401 places.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Health noted that the current mortality rate from coronavirus in Ukraine is one and a half -two times less than the peak values in individual European countries in 2021, and called the number of deaths a deferred indicator, which can show an increase within two to three weeks after the incidence has stabilized.
