The driver lost control and permanently crippled a tourist sitting in a cafe

In Hollywood, a driver ran into a cafe and permanently crippled a woman and permanently maiming one of them. The Daily Mail writes about this.

The incident took place in one of the cafes in Hollywood (USA), a tourist from Peru and two of her friends were having lunch while sitting on the street. According to the police, the driver past a passing car tried to sharply enter a turn to avoid a collision with a fire engine, but lost control and flew onto the sidewalk where there were visitors to the institution.

The driver hit three people who were dining on the street – they all received various injuries, but the tourist suffered the most. The girl was caught between a car and a tree, her legs were under the vehicle. The traveler was taken to the hospital, where she was put into a coma due to the loss of both limbs. The woman driving the car was arrested.

The police did not say whether the driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident and what charges she would face. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

Earlier in October, two foreign tourists found themselves in the center of a shootout between two drug gangs in the Caribbean beach resort of Tulum in Mexico and died.
