Ex-DPR officer Astrakhan: Kiev will start active hostilities in Donbass by decision of NATO
Military expert, ex-officer of the People's Militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Dmitry Astrakhan called the conditions for Kiev to start active hostilities in Donbass. He noted in an interview with RIA Novosti that this will happen by NATO decision.
According to him, since 2014, the North Atlantic Alliance has been developing the territory of Ukraine for a future war, sequentially, stage by stage, this is called “settling the territory in the theater of military operations.” The expert pointed out that the United States and Great Britain are doing this, the first country is engaged in naval bases and operations in the Black Sea, the second is in land operations.

NATO also has its own interests – this is domination in the Black Sea, this is, one way or another, the locking of Russia within its borders, this is air superiority. And in this sense, the alliance needs Ukrainian territory, and it will develop it, “Astrakhan added.
He concluded that Ukraine will fight in Donbass under the leadership and command of NATO, when the alliance needs it, and not to the Kiev authorities.
Earlier, the deputy of the People's Council of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Vladislav Berdichevsky expressed the opinion that the United States would not openly intervene in the situation in the event of a military conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He spoke about the unwillingness of the United States to openly participate in a possible Russian-Ukrainian confrontation and stressed that such a scenario is not popular in American foreign policy.
