The cost of a trip by a flying taxi in Moscow has been announced

The cost of a Hover air taxi trip in Moscow can reach 200 rubles per kilometer

almost 200 rubles per kilometer. However, it was initially calculated that prices would be lower. The figures were given by the general director of the company, Alexander Atamanov, quoted by TASS.

Several factors were included in the cost, including payment for electricity, rental of sites and equipment maintenance. The developers planned that a kilometer trip would cost 20 rubles – cheaper than a regular taxi. However, this decision was later revised. “We could not help but notice that prices are growing for all categories of goods and services, which means that what we calculated two years ago is no longer relevant. In this regard, we have recalculated the cost of trips at the current inflation rate, “Atamanov noted.

The company has been developing air taxi since 2019, at the moment the project is at the testing stage. According to plans, flights over the capital will begin in 2023-2025. They want to launch industrial production in Moscow, Kazan, Ufa and Krasnoyarsk. By 2030, Hover wants to organize the assembly of cars in the Middle East.

In September 2021, the chief architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov, did not see the prospect of the appearance of flying taxis in the airspace of the capital in the near future. He noted that the city practice moving by air on official helicopters, but an administrative decision is required to launch a flying taxi.
