Head coach of the Russian national football team Valery Karpin explained , which is the reason for the absence of Spartak defender Georgy Dzhikia and Lokomotiv midfielder Rifat Zhemaletdinov from training. This is reported by TASS.
According to the specialist, both players were injured. The coach did not disclose the details of the injuries, but added that the players did not take part in the lesson, as it was decided not to risk their health.
The training of the Russian national team, which was not attended by players, was held on Tuesday, November 9, in St. Petersburg. There the team will meet with Cyprus on November 11. Three days later, Karpin's charges will play on the road with Croatia. Both meetings will be held as part of the qualification of the 2022 World Cup.
On November 8, it became known that the Russian national team in the next matches will not be able to help Dynamo midfielder Arsen Zakharyan and Rubin defender Ilya Samoshnikov. Both players were injured.
