ATOR: demand for vaccine tours among Russians grew by 50 percent in October
Travel industry experts noted a sharp increase in demand for vaccine tours among Russian travelers from October to November 2021. This became known to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
Experts said that over the past 1.5 months they received a “flurry of calls” from agents and clients with requests for such vouchers. “Compared to September, when we just started selling such tours, the demand for trips to get the vaccine to Serbia has grown threefold, to Croatia – tenfold. On average, we receive 60-70 applications per week, “said the Russian Express company.
Representatives of the PAX tour operator reported that the interest in traveling abroad for the purpose of vaccination has increased manifold. “We already receive more than a hundred requests per week,” they clarified. According to experts from the BSI Group agency, the growth in demand in October exceeded 50 percent.
Earlier, Russians were offered vaccine tours to another European country – Greece. The minimum price for a four-day tour is 68 thousand rubles (the price includes flight, accommodation in a four or five-star hotel, as well as a sightseeing tour).
