Former Prime Minister of Ukraine urged to build a wall on the border with Belarus

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yatsenyuk announced the need to build a wall on the border with Belarus Belarus. On November 9, he published a corresponding post on Facebook.

According to Yatsenyuk, the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border should become the main issue for the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

“There [the president Russian Vladimir] Putin launched a hybrid assault. The President of Ukraine [Volodymyr Zelenskyy] should raise the issue of the participation of Ukraine's representatives in NATO-EU consultations on coordination of actions. The situation on the Polish border is the answer, why do we need a large-scale protective infrastructure on the border with Russia, “the former prime minister said.

He claims that the Kremlin discredits the actions of the Ukrainian authorities to protect the border. “Now we can see why there is a“ wall ”. We need to provide the same infrastructure on the border with Belarus, “Yatsenyuk emphasized.

Earlier, former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called for” hellish “sanctions against Vladimir Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who, according to him, organized a “migration invasion” to Europe.

In September 2014, Yatsenyuk initiated the “Wall” project – defensive fortifications on the border with Russia. In May 2021, it was reported that more than half of such structures were built.
