During his speech, he stressed that Russia is facing the consequences of climate change. Examples he cited included events such as permafrost thawing, wildfires and soil degradation. According to him, the country is making great efforts to fight climate change and is going to continue this fight further.
Moreover, he spoke in favor of ending discrimination against other countries so that every state has access to clean technologies. He also invited other countries to participate in joint projects with Russia to mitigate climate change.
Earlier it became known that more than 450 financial companies from 45 countries of the world have united in the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Carbon Neutrality (GFANZ), which aims is the fight against climate change. Banks, insurance, audit companies, stock exchanges, rating agencies and pension funds became participants in the initiative.
