39 160 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia over the past day. Thus, the total number of infections in the country since the beginning of the pandemic was 8,873,655. This was reported on the website of the headquarters for infection control on Tuesday, November 9.
A day earlier, 39,400 cases of infection were recorded in the country.
Most of the new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Moscow (5287), the Moscow region (2818) and in St. Petersburg (2680). Least of all – in the Sakhalin region (30 cases), the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (19 cases) and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (15 cases).
In a day, 1211 patients with COVID-19 died. A total of 249,215 people have died since the start of the pandemic.
