Russian virologist assessed public concern about the timing of QR codes

Virologist Altstein: it is necessary to think about vaccination, and not about the timing of QR codes Altstein assessed the public's concern about the validity period of QR codes for vaccination against COVID-19. His words are quoted by Gazeta.Ru.

The virologist said that everyone is worried about the timing of QR codes, but now it is necessary to think about why people are not vaccinated. Altstein called for vaccinations to stop the epidemic.

“If vaccination drags on as weakly as now, the epidemic will drag on for years and we will live with a mountain of corpses,” the Russian virologist stated. Altstein said that now it is necessary to create such conditions for unvaccinated citizens that will stimulate them to vaccinate.

He also added that while Russians need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 every six months. According to the specialist, in the future, the time frame for re-vaccination may change, the vaccination will be required once a year.

Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Science and the Ministry of Health clarified that QR codes that Russians receive on public services after vaccination against COVID-19, will remain valid for the entire period. Some users of public services on Monday, November 8, noticed that the validity period of QR codes changed from 12 to 6 months. This happened due to the technical work that was carried out on the portal.
