The journalist clarified that Washington has passed on data to its partners regarding the movement of the Russian military near the borders. US President Joe Biden, on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rome, called on Acting German Chancellor Angela Merkel to increase pressure on Moscow over the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, the author added.

The American Embassy in Berlin, at the request of the publication, refused to comment on the content of diplomatic contacts with Europe. The Russian embassy in Washington replied that American interest in the movement of Russians is perplexing.
