Physician Yartseva: a respirator will help protect yourself from sneezing Russians in transport

Physician, immunologist, allergist Irina Yartseva suggested ways from sneezing Russians in transport. She told about this in an interview with radio Sputnik.

According to her, a respirator, that is, a mask with a filter, will help to protect. You can also turn away, move to another part of the car, if possible. “You can protect yourself mechanically – wind up a scarf, wear glasses so that the infection does not get on the mucous membrane,” Yartseva said.

When leaving the transport, you need to change the mask and treat your hands, the doctor continued. “You can prophylactically rinse your nose with a spray,” she added.

The doctor told in which case a neighbor in the carriage becomes the most “dangerous” for others from the point of view of the spread of infection. “If this is sneezing with force, the virus goes farthest into the air, then there is a cough with an open mouth, and blowing your nose in this sense is not so dangerous: usually people blow their nose into a handkerchief,” the specialist concluded.

Previously, the deputy State Duma Vasily Vlasov said that it is necessary to provide a 50 percent discount on public transport to Russians who have been vaccinated against coronavirus. The MP is confident that the measure could be useful for tens of millions of citizens using the services of carriers.
