Vaccination for this age group will begin in March 2022. The relevant decree was issued by the National Commission on Vaccinations and Epidemiology “in accordance with the principle of the best interests of children and adolescents.”
In October, the authorities announced the purchase of 3.5 million doses of the drug from Pfizer. About 1.5 million of them will go for vaccinations for children, the rest of the doses – for the third doses of vaccinations for adults, wrote the local newspaper The Tico Times.
