The ex-senator considers the claims of Ukraine to the Russian territories senseless

Former Senator Timofeeva: Kiev's wishes to get Russian territory are futile Ukraine to Russian territories and indicated that Kiev has no prospect of obtaining them, despite its wishes. Her words are quoted by Izvestia.

The politician noted that such statements have been heard for a long time. She suggested asking whether the Ukrainian state existed before the USSR formed it.

Timofeeva added that many representatives of Ukraine tried to substantiate claims to Sevastopol, allegedly some Cossacks sailed and decided to found a city on the shore of the bay. In one of the discussions, she cited the counterargument that the dialects were created by empires, since only state formations can comprehend their future and build the world in accordance with the country's development models.

The former senator recalled that Crimea has always been an exact attraction , where events were in full swing, and a place of refraction of the geopolitical interests of many countries.

“There are lines dedicated to the fact that you will not find Ukrainian graves on the Crimean land. There are English, French, Russian graves. You will find these graves, but you will not find the graves associated with a certain Ukrainian statehood, ”concluded Timofeeva.
