Galatasaray demanded to reconsider the results of the UEL match with Lokomotiv

Galatasaray protested over the results of the Europa League match against Lokomotiv

Turkish football club Galatasaray demanded to review the results of the Europa League round four match against Lokomotiv Moscow. This was reported on the club's website.

Galatasaray protested over the decision of the Swiss referee Sandro Scherer. He showed two yellow cards to the defender of the “railroad” Dmitry Zhivoglyadov, but did not send him off the field. Representatives of the Turkish club demanded a replay of the match or the award of a technical defeat to Lokomotiv.

The incident took place at the end of the meeting. First, the referee showed Zhivoglyadov a yellow card for a foul in the center of the field. The Russian received another card during a scuffle between the teams. At the same time, only the first violation was noted in the UEFA protocol.

The match took place in Istanbul on November 6 and ended with a score of 1: 1. Lokomotiv rounds out the quartet E standings with two points.
