Rapper Antokha MC terminated the contract with producer Shumeiko and lost the rights to his songs
Popular Russian hip-hop artist Anton Kuznetsov under the pseudonym Antokha MC, he lost the rights to his songs and stage name as a result of the termination of his contract with producer Eduard Shumeiko. He told about this on his Instagram.
According to the artist, Shumeiko stopped performing his duties: he did not organize concerts and took the bulk of his income.
“In 2018, I signed documents and in an instant he questioned his rights to the results of all my work. Now I had to take out a loan and pay off three million rubles in order to protect myself at least from encroachments on newly created songs. (…) Nobody will return the old songs to me, they didn't agree. I look positively into the future – the contract has been terminated, I make music and breathe freely, “the rapper explained.
The celebrity advised his fans and colleagues to carefully study any contracts before signing them, so as not to become a hostage of documents and people who use it skillfully. ”
It is known that Antokha MC has lost the rights to at least 50 tracks. Eduard Shumeiko has not yet commented on the situation.
In October, the former Leningrad singer Alisa Vox spoke about the persecution within the band. She stated that the leader of the group, Sergei Shnurov, “destroyed” her with the help of his influence.
