The CEC will hold elections of the President of festival “Invasion”

The head of the Russian Central election Commission, Ella Pamfilova will hold elections of the President of festival “Invasion” among the dozen candidates who became the leaders of the provisional ballot; the campaign will partly mimic real elections — “tent to vote” will be equipped with cameras, in addition, will apply the principle of voting with no absentee ballots, organizers said.
The press service of the CEC of Russia, RIA Novosti news Agency confirmed that the Minister “intends to take part in the festival.”
“Invasion” will be held this year from 7 to 9 July, traditionally festival will take place in the Big Zavidovo the Tver region.
As organizers have specified, the first day of the festival kicks off an unprecedented event — “presidential Elections of the Invasion” will hold for the first time. On the festival site up to July 2, held a preliminary vote, the results of which will be selected ten candidates with the highest number of votes.
“These 10 candidates will be included in the ballot. In the center of the field of “Invasion” will be built a special tent with ballot boxes. The voting results will be announced directly by the Chairman of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova on 9 July on the main stage of the festival… the Central electoral Commission will produce for the President of the festival Invasion special presidential certificate signed by the Chairman of the CEC of Russia”, — said in a press release.
The organizers will also try to approximate the stages of voting-real election campaign.
According to them, the election of the President of the festival will meet four basic criteria: openness, transparency, democracy and convenience.
In particular, it is noted in the release tent, where they will vote, will be equipped with cameras, intermediate results in the online mode will display on the festival website and displayed on screens of the main stage. In addition, the status of observers in these elections will receive all the representatives of the accredited media.
