Director General State space scientific production center Khrunichev Andrew Kalinowski is leaving his post, instead the company will be headed by the head of the design Bureau “Motor” Alex Morocco, said a source in the space industry. According to him, Kalinowski goes to work in the Federal space Agency for the position of quality Director of the Corporation. In this regard, the Center will be headed by Morocco, writes “Kommersant” with reference to “Interfax”.
Morocco in 1982 graduated from the Moscow aviation Institute, specialty “Electrical equipment of aircrafts” in 1987 – the Moscow automobile and road Institute majoring in “Automotive electronics”. Currently holds the post of Deputy Director on production development of the Center for exploitation of ground space infrastructure, is the Director and chief designer of KB “Motor”.
In June, Kalinowski reported that Khrunichev continues to work on developing options for a reusable booster.
In the same month, the Moscow Arbitration court has collected from the Khrunichev Center 3.2 billion rubles of losses due to the accident of “Proton-M” with three satellites “GLONASS”, which took place in 2013.
