In the Kremlin commented on the words of the Macron about “Russian aggression”

The Kremlin does not agree with the assessment of Russia concerning the Ukrainian crisis, which was expressed by the President of France Emmanuel macron during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko, said the press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov. He once again stressed that the Normandy format to settle the situation in the Donbas is no alternative site. And the so-called “formula Rules”, according to estimates by Senator Alexei Pushkov, “is an attempt to put pressure on Russia”.

The Kremlin does not agree with the statement of the President of France Emmanuel Makron, who accused Moscow of aggression in the Donbass. Commented on the appointment of Macron with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

“We do not agree with our French colleagues in the language that we heard yesterday from Mr. President”, — said Peskov.

He also added the following:

The Russian side will continue to patiently explain the real situation and its position on the conflict in Ukraine.

The press Secretary stressed that the Normandy format, i.e., talks involving Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France, are the sole and uncontested platform for the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.

However, on 26 June at a press conference following the meeting with the leader of France in Paris, the Ukrainian President spoke about the possibility of the emergence of the so-called “formula Rules” for resolving the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

27 June, the Deputy head of administration Poroshenko Kostiantyn Yeliseyev has revealed some details of this “formula”.

“Today, it is agreed that in the near future, preferably before the G20 summit, to hold a telephone conference of the leaders of the Normandy format with participation of heads of the OSCE SMM (Special monitoring mission of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe — “Газета.Ru”),” — said Elisha.

In the framework of negotiations, according to the “formula Rules”, are invited to discuss ways of implementing the cease-fire in the Donbass, the provision of unhindered access of the OSCE mission, ensuring the safety of international observers, the withdrawal of heavy weaponry and the release of prisoners.

“That is the so-called “formula Rules” provides for joint purposeful work, through small but concrete steps to ensure full implementation of the Minsk agreements”, — he concluded.

Senator Alexei Pushkov in an interview with “Газетой.Ru” called “formula Rules” “another game scenario of the Western Alliance on the side of Kiev” and expressed doubt that it takes into account the interests of the breakaway LC and the DNI, who along with Kiev are parties to the conflict.

I would be very surprised if the talks with Poroshenko were born to be something else, but the idea is to support Kiev in this matter. As far as can be judged by the statements of the Ukrainian side (from France until applications have been received), it is an attempt to put pressure on the LPR, DPR and Russia to achieve a solution that satisfied with Kiev. It is alarming.Alexei Pushkov

In addition, the Senator noted that we should expect a new round of negotiations in which the West will try to influence the situation formally with the new position, but in fact making its way to the Kiev scenario of a return of Eastern Ukraine in the country.

Kiev has for several months making efforts to adjust the format of the Minsk.

With their proposals Poroshenko went to the reception to the President of the United States Donald Trump, but in Washington, the President of Ukraine has not succeeded.

At the end of may in interview “Газете.Ru” special adviser to EU high representative for foreign Affairs and security policy of the European Union Natalie Tocci said that the European Union plans to discuss the “renewal” of the negotiation process.

However, Tocci statements do not reflect the position of the participants of the Minsk talks “Norman Quartet”, told in an interview with “Газетой.Ru” the Director of the Center for political conjuncture Alexei Chesnakov.

“Initiatives to change the format, of course, may be maintained in the EU institutions, however, the participants of the Minsk format can only be viewed if these ideas will relay one of the countries — guarantors of the negotiation process,” he said.

Current negotiations on the conflict in Ukraine are parallel in two directions: in the Minsk format, which is developed within the framework of the agreements in 2015, and the negotiations “channel four”. The latter is designed to help the implementation of the Minsk agreements, the “Quartet” includes Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France.
