Friend the ex-President of South Korea sentenced to three years in prison

A friend of former South Korean President Park Geun-Hye — Choi sung-SIL, which became a defendant in the previously erupted in the country a corruption scandal, was sentenced to a three-year prison term for illegal pressure on the University, where he studied her daughter Chung Yoo RA. This was reported on Friday the Agency Yonhap.

The investigation found that Choi sung-SIL used his connections with the President to demand that the leadership of the University favors to Jung Yu RA.

In particular, she was accused of collusion with the administration of the institution, the purpose of which was the arrival of her daughter. Later she also allegedly demanded from the teaching staff to put Jung Yu RA estimates for the work which she actually is not handed over, said Yonhap.

This is the first conviction against Choi sung-SIL. The court is now several more cases in which in relation to it put forward certain allegations. She is the main defendant in the corruption scandal that erupted in the Republic of Korea in the past year.
