Three people died from alcohol-containing liquid in the Astrakhan region
Moscow. June 21. INTERFAX.RU — IN the Astrakhan region the woman and two men died Wednesday in the hospital, and another four, including two teenagers hospitalized with poisoning, according to the investigative Department of the TFR in the region.
According to the Agency, on the eve of the five people were admitted to district hospital in a state of acute intoxication. The next day one by one woman and two men died. Death was caused by the toxic action of the liquid.
One man is in a coma, one in a serious condition.
Management has determined that the liquid, which allegedly poisoned all admitted to the hospital, was found abandoned in the canister on Monday evening on the banks of the river Akhtuba. It had the distinct smell of alcohol.
The canister brought into the house of one of the later victims, its contents diluted with water. According to management, this “cocktail” was used by all the victims.
“Today during a procedural audit found that while adults access to alcohol-containing liquid received two minors: the nephew of one of the victims and his friend. On Tuesday evening 14-year-old boy was admitted to the district hospital in a state of acute intoxication”, — stated in the message of investigatory management.
