Peskov told about the message of the Emir of Qatar to Putin

“Not yet familiarized [with the message], but through diplomatic channels it transmitted”, — said the official representative of the Kremlin.

According to the Agency, citing a senior diplomatic source in Qatar, the ruler of the Emirate gave me a message for the Russian leader, through the Embassy in Moscow. According to him, it is about the relationship of Doha with the Arab countries.

5 June Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE announced the rupture of diplomatic relations with Qatar. The representatives of these countries accused Doha of destabilizing the political situation in the Arab States, as well as in support of terrorist organizations, including Islamic state and “al-Qaeda” (both group banned in Russia). Later also joined the boycott Yemen, Libya, Maldives, Mauritius, Mauritania, Union of Comoros.

The next day Putin and the Emir of Qatar held telephone talks. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow supports the decision of crisis situations by politico-diplomatic means.

Qatari authorities believe the charges are unfounded and called the isolation an infringement of sovereignty.
