The Sevastopol city election Commission has registered the third candidate for the post of Governor of the city of Roman Kiyashko, nominated by the Communist party.
The direct election of the Governor of Sevastopol will be held for the first time. Prior to that, head of the city was approved by deputies of the legislative Assembly, and the nomination made by the President. Elections will be held in a single voting day on September 10.
“In the Sevastopol city election Commission as a candidate for the post of Governor of Sevastopol Roman Kiyashko Putin submitted the necessary documents on the nomination. The working group of the municipal electoral Committee was carried out reception of documents, the candidate, written confirmation that they will be received”, — have informed in municipal electoral Committee.
Kiyashko, said the election Commission, nominated as a candidate for Governor from the city branch of the Communist party.
Earlier documents to city election Commission for registration filed by the acting head of Sevastopol Dmitry Ovsyannikov (nominated by the Presidium of the General Council “United Russia”) and Ivan Ermakov from regional branch of party “Patriots of Russia”.
