Nationalists blocked the center of Kiev in an attempt to prevent the gay parade

Activists of Ukrainian nationalist organizations have blocked the Central street of Kiev, to prevent the gay pride parade in the capital. About this on his page in Facebook reported the press Secretary of the banned in Russia movement “the Right sector” Artem Skoropadsky.

“Nationalists of many organizations blocked the Park Shevchenko, Vladimirskaya street and a teacher’s House not to allow a gay parade”, stated Skoropadsky, adding that invites all to gather for their March.

Also on the eve of the March, unknown persons hacked the website of the Ukrainian LGBT movement and left threats the participants of the gay parade. In a written message, in particular, says that the police will not be able to help those who are going to participate in the event.

Gay parade in Kiev is scheduled for June 18. It is expected that it will take part about five thousand persons. In June of 2016 during similar events, the police detained 50 opponents actions. Then nationalists threatened members of the LGBT community, which intended to March in the Ukrainian capital.
