Two-thirds of Russians polled by the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion, advocated the advent of a new holiday — father’s Day. The results of the surveys are published on the website of the centre.
According to experts of the center, the importance of the festival to a greater extent feel people who do not have children and brought up by his father in a single-parent family. While the date for the celebration has to thirds of respondents to a large value, whereas 16 percent of respondents offer to celebrate father’s Day on the third Sunday of June in most countries of the world.
According to the survey, in holidays like mother’s Day, father’s Day, the Day of family, love and fidelity, people often think about family values. This view is shared by 44 percent of respondents. Another 39 percent believe these dates are the perfect excuse to spend time with family. While 14% did not believe that the holidays play a role in family life.
The survey was conducted on 10 and 11 June by telephone among 1,200 respondents older than 18 years. The statistical error does not exceed 3.5%.
