Ex-Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond was involved in an accident in Switzerland

MOSCOW, 10 Jul — RIA Novosti. Former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond was hospitalized after a car accident in which he fell during the race on the mountain roads in the Swiss Canton of St. Gallen, reported the news portal 20 Minuten, citing its own sources.

According to the portal, white sports car, the Rimac Concept One show The Grand Tour, co-host which is currently running, Hammond went off the road and caught fire.

The police of the Canton portal confirmed that in the accident one person was injured, he was taken to the hospital by helicopter. It is noted that the accident occurred on a closed section of the route.
