The foreign Minister of Qatar said he did not know the real causes of the escalation of the conflict

The government of Qatar do not know what are the real causes of conflict escalation in the middle East, the intermediate which resulted in the rupture of diplomatic relations eight countries in the Middle East with Qatar. The Minister of foreign Affairs of the state of Mohammed bin Abdel Rahman al-Thani said in an interview with a leading Qatari channel “al Jazeera”.

“As for the reasons for this escalation, then, frankly, we don’t know whether there was any real causes of this crisis, or is it based on something we are not aware of. If this was the real reason, they would be put on discussion in the GCC (cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf. — RNS), but this was not done. This was not done on Americans-Islamo-Arab summit in Riyadh. There was no indication”, — said the Minister.

Al-Thani also accused Arab media to “insult the brotherly people” and “unprecedented escalation” immediately after the first news of the rupture of dipotnosheny.

“There was unprecedented escalation by the media of those States. They insulted the brotherly people and used such funds, which has never been used against the leadership. Qatar has not responded with a counter-escalation. We tried to fight it wisely. We answered them on the same level”, — said the Minister.

Earlier on 5 June diplomatic relations with Qatar severed from seven countries, accusing the government of supporting terrorist organizations in Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya, and later the Maldives. Later on 6 June they were joined by Mauritius.
